At ISMG we believe in sticking to a tried and true method of providing solutions. While we remain flexible in our willingness to entertain various technical solutions to a particular problem, we are very rigid in our adherence to procedure. Through years of practice – and after shedding blood, sweat and tears – we have learned that the only way to consistently produce winning solutions is by following a strict set of guidelines for development. The solution process that we have committed ourselves to revolves around the Microsoft Solutions Framework. This proven process for managing project development ensures that our solutions are delivered on time and within budget.

The most important step in the development of any network based application – be it an Internet site, a private Intranet, or a highly secure web-based application – is the initial design and planning. Any good construction company will first contract an architect to draft up a blueprint of a new building. For the same reason an online project needs a well thought out and cohesive plan before the first line of code is ever written.

The first phase of our planning process is to conduct meetings with the top decision-makers from your company. During these sessions we document your key business goals and objectives. Following this we prioritize the goals of the project with your assistance. The end result of these meetings is a Needs Analysis Document that covers every critical issue relating to the strategic success of the project.

The next phase of the planning process is the expansion of this Needs Analysis Document into a full design specification. This "blueprint" for success allows us to fully document how the project is to be undertaken, what resources are going to be required and what expectations ISMG has of you the client in order to complete the project in a timely fashion. This design spec will fully detail the content, design, functionality and programming applications that will be tied together to ultimately achieve the goals set out in the initial planning meetings. This document is provided to you with no obligation to complete the final project through ISMG. With this detailed spec the project is thoroughly prepped and ready to go! If we have done our job properly the decision to accept or reject the project should be fairly easy. At this point we await your final approval to proceed with the project.
